Robert Duffy And Marc Jacobs Talk About Their 28 Years Together
“Neither Marc Jacobs or Robert Duffy are good with dates. For this reason, Duffy, the president of business for Marc Jacobs International and the designer’s right-hand man for nearly 28 years has “1984″ tattooed inside his left wrist. It’s the year they incorporated their company. “Marc will say, ‘Oh, it was 1981.’ I’ll be like, ‘Marc you were thirteen!” says Duffy in mock complaint. Then a young executive, Duffy spotted Jacobs’ senior collection at the Parsons New School for Design graduation dinner. “There were three sweaters I immediately fell in love with. It was grunge way before grunge,” says Duffy. “I had seen kids in the Haight wearing these things, but I never saw somebody actually design this stuff.”

A Sneak Peak Inside Carine Roitfeld’s Book, Irreverent (Vogue)
“Roitfeld’s latest endeavor, Irreverent (Rizzoli), is an aptly titled 368-page album of photographs culled over her 30-year career. Among images from some of her most famous, and most provocative, shoots—including Eva Herzigova posing with a lot of bloody boeuf for The Face in 1997 and last year’s plastic-surgery story with Crystal Renn—are intimate, endearing snapshots of Roitfeld’s partner, Christian Restoin, and their children, Julia and Vladimir.”

Karl Lagerfeld And Snoop Dogg Are Working On A Music Video (Styleite)
“What’s old, fancy, dressed all in white and wakes up at the crack of dawn to film rap music videos? Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, of course! Women’s Wear Daily reports the couturier and serial workaholic strolled into the legendary San Tropez cafe Senequier (because where else would he eat breakfast, Denny’s?) to film a segment of French recording artist Jean-Roch Pedri‘s new music video.”

Elle, H&M Launch Limited Time E-Commerece Venture (WWD)
“Elle is giving H&M a gateway into e-commerce. Earlier this year, H&M postponed its plans to launch an e-commerce site in the U.S. until 2012, but that doesn’t mean the Swedish retailer is out of the game until then. Today at noon, select items will be available for purchase on The site will show four looks from H&M’s fall collection, with four or five pieces from each look that consumers can click to buy.”

Gemma Ward To Star In ‘The Great Gatsby’ (Huffington Post)
“The latest supermodel to hit the silver screen? Runway beauty Gemma Ward, who has just signed onto the cast of Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby.” It’s a great fit for the Aussie model: coincidentally, the 1920s New York-set project is, for reasons unknown, filming down under.”
