Giambattista Valli for Macy’s is On the Way (Elle UK)
“Valli is about to expand his reach to consumers who shop at Macy’s. The US department store chain enrolled Valli as the latest luxury designer to create a limited-edition collection. Called Giambattista Valli for Impulse Only at Macy’s, the collection will arrive in 225 stores on October 26. The designs echo Valli’s main line, with tulles, laces and brocades, but at a $50-150 price point.”

Thakoon’s Scarf for Somalia (Vogue)
“The harrowing truth is that there is no dearth of charitable causes to support these days, but there is comfort to be found in the ways fashion is offering assistance. Consider Thakoon Panichgul, who is donating 100 percent of the proceeds from his limited-edition Masai-print scarf to various efforts aiding famine victims in Somalia. The red-and-blue knit piece, made from fabric Panichgul used for his African-inspired fall collection, is available exclusively on thakoon.com.”

Why Forever 21 Might Finally Lose A Trademark Case To Feral Childe (Styleite)
“Forever21 is no stranger to trademark infringement lawsuits, but in the past the fast fashion retailer always managed to avoid going to trial over a copying garments from designer labels. But in the case of the print it’s been accused of stealing from an independent, eco-friendly line called Feral Childe, avoiding courtroom drama might not work out so well.”

“Coco Rocha stars in the ad campaign for Karl Lagerfeld’s hotly anticipated collection for Macy’s. The model quietly uploaded this cool behind-the-scenes video from the campaign shoot that features interviews with her and Karl, who shot the campaign in his Paris studio.”

JP, Sienna and Colin Firth Donate Their Shoes For Charity (Vogue UK)
“Sara Jessica Parker, Eva Green, Vivienne Westwood, Colin Firth, Sophie Dahl and Sienna Miller are just some of the celebrities who have lent a hand – and a shoe – to a campaign to raise awareness and aid for the children working on some of the world’s biggest landfills. An esteemed list of stars have donated their favorite pair of shoes to be auctioned by the Small Steps Project, a charity founded by former celebrity journalist Amy Hanson after an enlightening visit to Cambodia in 2008.”
