Toronto’s Winterlicious 2010 is Almost Here

Toronto’s favorite winter gastronomic celebration Winterlicious is back! Running from January 29th through February 11th, 2010, Winterlicious is now in its eighth year with 150 Toronto restaurants offering three-course prix fixe menus at one of three price point categories: $15 Lunch and/or $25 Dinner, $20 Lunch and/or $35 Dinner, and $25 Lunch and/or $45 Dinner (per person, plus taxes and gratuity.)

Restaurants involved this year include Auberge du Pommier, Bistro 990, Bymark, Canoe, Drake Hotel, La Maquette, Lucien, North 44, Rosewater, Sassafraz, and many more.

Auberge du Pommier Winterlicious 2010 Menu

$25 Lunch plus taxes and gratuity

Velouté de Céleri-Rave
celeriac soup with sun choke and lovage
or
Salade de Saison
chicorée and spinach leaves with spiced walnuts and maple pear dressing
or
Brandade de Morue
delicate cod brandade with olives, capers, lemon candy and toasted French baguette

Poulet Rôti
seared chicken with pomme purée, brussel sprouts, bacon, apple and madeira jus

Quiche Campagnarde
pulled duck confit with caramelized onion, parsnip, and Cantal cheese
or
Dorade Rissolée
sautéed sea bream with heirloom beans, golden nugget squash and cardamom cream

Pot de Crème
layers of dark chocolate, espresso and caramel with almond macaroon

Gâteau Bête Noire
